Since 2004

A community built on the love of the game

More than two decades of Father's Day mornings, fairways walked together, and friendships kept alive one round at a time.

Our Story

Two decades of tradition

The Golfers Connection began quietly, in 2004, as a small group of friends looking for a reason to play together every Father's Day. Twenty-plus years later, that reason has grown into a tradition that draws golfers from across the country to a new course each summer.

We have played in Chicago and Palos Park, in Dallas and Tinley Park, and as far as the Dominican Republic — but the setting has never been the point. The point is the people, and the way a shared morning on the course keeps them close as the years pass.

Community

A club without a clubhouse

We are not a course or a country club. We are the golfers who keep meeting up — sons who played their first round here, fathers who never miss a year, and friends who fly in from across the country to make a foursome.

Tradition

A Father's Day ritual

The format is simple: a great course, a fair four-man scramble, trophies worth chasing, and an evening of stories that get better every year. The date rarely changes. The feeling never does.

Friendship

Rounds that outlast the round

What starts on the first tee carries into text threads, group chats, and the plans for next year. The tournament is a single day. The friendships are the reason we keep it going.

The Annual Pilgrimage

A new course. The same people.

Every year we choose somewhere different — sometimes a familiar Chicago muni, sometimes a resort a plane ride away. The course is new. The names on the tee sheet, mostly, are not.

That is what makes it a pilgrimage. Not the destination, but the gathering. A tradition, held together by the people who show up.
